48yo bernard hopkins in action tonight on hbo. fighting tavoris cloud, an ok undefeated beltholder, who has beat one of the better fighters in the light heavyweight division (glencoffe johnson), but has avoided the others (jean pascal, chad dawson).
he would've been much better off against either of those two (who fight one another in may). instead, he is stuck with a nothing to gain/title shot to lose match against the old man who is still an excellent defensive boxer.
this should be tactical, and boring. or an old man catching a beatdown (like when bhop lost to dawson).

Are you going to stick with it even if it turns out to be a boring affair? Or is it expected to be so painful that even a big fight fan such as yourself would have a hard time stomaching it?

I can dig it, I ended up watching Duke-UNC until the end even though it was uncompetitive from about 30 seconds in.
