Sabres put up a nice 10-spot on the Oil last night at Northlands; worst home defeat in Edmonton's history. That game was over after about 80 seconds.
of course they'll probably lose 4-1 at the Saddledome tonight.

Man, I've missed hockey. (No, the All-Star Game doesn't count.) Pens vs. the New York Delawares tonight. Sid is expected to play. Matt Cooke was suspended two games for hitting a Carolina player in the head a week or two ago.

I was just emailing w/ some friends discussing how weird the East is this year. The Bruins are so far and away the best team in the East this year. Caps and Devils are solid, then after that it's a complete free-for-all down to about 10. Somebody needs to do something about Boston dammit - I can't abide by them making the second round, let alone the finals.
last night was sweet as a Sabres fan - no stress, the only question was whether they'd hit 10. Scored 3x while i was on the horn w/ Rush, too.

Scored 3x while i was on the horn w/ Rush, too. rush is good luck that way. The highlight of the Pens' season was their comeback win over the Wings, when they scored about 15 goals in the third period, all while I was talking to rush. Unfortunately for the Pens, rush can't call me every game night...

Turned on the Habs/Caps game just in time to see Ovechkin's nomination for Goal of the Year. Y'all will be seeing it on Sportscenter.

Very good game, especially if you're a Washington fan, they have outplayed Montreal in every aspect. But as long as Montreal can get a point out of this I will be happy. Would be nice if Schneider scored on the power play. Guess I should bookmark this page.

Sorry about the quality and the stupid ad on the side but I thought some of you might like to see Ovechkin's latest amazing goal. At first it looked like a crappy goal but the replay showed how good it really was.

Shootout delayed while they waited for the on-ice cameraman to get his act together. I hope MaxWebster isn't watching this.

<CrustyOldManVoice>"on-ice cameraman" he says. BAHHH! in my day the only one reporting on a game was suspended over the ice in a GONDOLA.</CrustyOldManVoice> Danny Gallivan. From Sydney, Nova Scotia. Called the first game in Canucks history. He took some flak for calling Paul Boutilier's first professional game (another Sydney native) by pronouncing his name as "boo-tilly-eh" instead of "Boot-a-leer". Presumably, he thought Paul was French. I always wanted to see the view from the Gondola.

Seriously? Every time the Habs play a good team and I want to post about it the site goes down. What the fuck is up with the Habs hatred?
Montreal is leading San Jose 2-0 right now.
